Nepal Telecom

Government-owned telecommunication company Nepal Telecom has started distribution of embedded SIM cards (e-SIM). Telecom was distributing e-SIM from Sundhara counter for a few days.

Now the SIM can be obtained free of cost from various telecom counters. You may be wondering whether the e-SIM provided by Telecom for free is supported by your device or not.

Also, if you want to support it, you can get the e-SIM activated free of charge from various telecom counters. To check whether your phone supports e-SIM or not, follow the various procedures below.

The IMEI number of your phone also gives information about whether the e-SIM works in that phone or not. For that first dial *#06# on your mobile.

Then there are different IMEI numbers. If the EID number is included on the page, it means that the phone supports E-SIM.

E-SIM support is found in various iPhone models released after 2017. If you are an iPhone or Android user, you can find information about e-SIM support from your phone's settings.

To get information about the subject from the settings of your smartphone, first go to the settings. Then go to the search bar and look for the option Add Mobile Plan (Add Mobile Plan) or Add Data Plan (Add Data Plan).

If this option is found, it means that the phone has E-SIM support.

If you are not able to get the information about E-SIM support from the things mentioned above, then you can get information about it in the list of various smartphones mentioned below.

Until now, only the companies of various brands mentioned above have been providing e-SIM supported services after getting e-SIM approval. But these phones do not support E-SIM in all countries.

Due to the geography and internal policies of that country, devices that support e-SIM may not work. So far, only the phones of the brand that have been informed that e-SIM support is included in this list.

Regarding other phones, information may be available if announced by the company.

E-SIM is a kind of virtual i.e. electronic SIM. After the e-SIM is available, there is no need for a physical SIM card as it is now. For this, a handset that supports e-SIM is required.

It can be used to make phone calls and use data. There is no need to change SIM card after using e-SIM.

Apart from mobile sets, e-SIM can be used in other devices and smart watches and various types of devices that can be worn on the body.
